Global Edge Group in Richmond, CA seeks an experienced HSE leader to guide safety across operations, maintenance, projects and contractor teams. You will champion risk reduction, support JSA, toolbox talks and Start Work checks, and lead investigations using root cause methodologies.

The role emphasizes environmental and regulatory compliance, MOC, and continuous improvement, driving high safety standards across multiple sites in the energy and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in safety, environmental science, engineering, industrial hygiene, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership, facilitation and influencing abilities across all levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Professional certifications CSP/ASP/CHMM/CIH or equivalent.
• Experience supporting laboratory operations, chemical processing, refining, or industrial environments.
• Experience in oil and gas, energy, chemical or manufacturing sectors.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive HSE experience.
• Ability to influence performance and drive improvements across multiple sites.

Responsabilités

• Provide HSE guidance and support for operations, maintenance, project, and contractor teams.
• Champion SIF prevention by identifying critical risks and verifying safeguards.
• Conduct field engagements, observations, and coaching on high‑risk work and permit‑to‑work.
• Support JSA development, toolbox talks, pre‑job planning, Start Work Checks.
• Develop, implement and verify effectiveness of HSE programs and performance expectations.
• Support assurance activities and regulatory compliance reviews.
• Track and close HSE and Operational Excellence findings and corrective actions.
• Participate in audits, assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead incident investigations using structured root cause analysis.
• Support incident response, reporting and data quality management.
• Identify trends and develop corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote Human and Organizational Performance concepts.
• Support environmental permitting, inspections and compliance obligations.
• Assist with environmental risk assessments and controls.
• Support MOC processes to evaluate and manage risks.
