Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) seeks a Safety Specialist II to enhance and maintain health, safety, and environmental programs. You will lead HSE policy development, conduct inspections and risk assessments, train staff, and investigate incidents while maintaining metrics and coordinating emergency response.

The role requires collaboration across teams and travel as needed. Prerequisites include a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2+ years of experience, and deep knowledge of OSHA, NFPA,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local HSE regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures.
• Perform detailed safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees.
• Conduct thorough investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop preventive measures.
• Maintain and analyze HSE metrics and data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate emergency response and preparedness activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address HSE concerns and ensure regulatory compliance.
