Job summary

Mars is seeking an HSE Manager to lead the site's health, safety, and environmental strategy at the Hackettstown facility. Reporting to the Site Director, you will shape programs, drive regulatory compliance, and build HSE ownership across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities include leading HSE strategy, ensuring audit-ready systems, reducing risk, and partnering with operations to protect associates and assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a science-related discipline such as engineering, chemistry, safety, or industrial hygiene.
• 10 to 15 years of experience implementing safety, environmental, and/or industrial hygiene programs in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated leadership driving continuous improvement in HSE programs and managing complex regulatory requirements, including EPA, OSHA, and DOT.

Responsibilities

• Lead site HSE strategy and culture. Establish and execute the site's HSE vision, objectives, and improvement plans.
• Maintain an audit-ready HSE management system and oversee environmental permits and regulatory requirements.
• Lead risk assessments, investigations, corrective actions, and partner on industrial hygiene and injury case management.
• Provide technical guidance on capital projects, manage the HSE budget, and oversee security and loss prevention.
