Job summary

Mars Incorporated in Hackettstown, NJ seeks an HSE Manager to lead our site's health, safety, and environmental strategy. You will report to the Site Director and join the plant's senior management team to protect Associates, the environment, and company assets while driving continuous improvement.

You will build HSE capability, ensure regulatory compliance (EPA/OSHA/DOT), manage risk, and partner across operations on capital projects, audits, and training.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of experience in safety, environmental, and/or industrial hygiene programs in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and DOT requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership driving continuous improvement in HSE programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead site HSE strategy and culture; develop vision and improvement plans.
• Maintain audit-ready HSE system and oversee permits, waste, transport, and regulations.
• Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective actions, and emergency preparedness.
• Provide technical guidance on capital projects; manage HSE budget and asset protection.
