Job summary

Fort Point LLC in Virginia is seeking an Owner’s Senior HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental strategy for a landmark multi-billion-dollar project. You will oversee governance, assurance, and independent oversight from engineering through startup, with full per diem and comprehensive expense coverage.

The role requires 15+ years in HSE, 10+ years on mega projects, and expertise in OSHA/EPA, with CSP/CHST/CIH or ISO 45001 as preferred credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 15+ years of progressive HSE experience with at least 10 years on large industrial capital projects.
• Mega-project experience on projects exceeding $500M TIC under EPC/EPCM delivery.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and permit-to-work processes; experience with commissioning/startup.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Project HSE Strategy with KPIs and executive dashboards.
• Review, audit, and align contractor HSE plans with owner expectations.
• Oversee hazard identification for high-risk operations (critical lifts, SIMOPS, confined spaces, electrical safety).
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; deploy proactive safety initiatives.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, waste, water protection, spill prevention programs.
• Support Pre-Startup Safety Reviews to ensure operational readiness.
