Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Senior HR Generalist/HRBP to support the Nazareth Cement Plant in PA and slag operations in Camden, NJ and Wilmington, DE. You will collaborate with plant leaders to align people strategies with business goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on employee relations, talent development, workforce planning, and compliance, with frequent interaction across operations and corporate teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with leaders and employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, labor relations, talent acquisition, and performance management.
• Experience with workforce planning and employment law compliance.
• Proficient with MS Office and HRIS systems; Workday preferred.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills; highly organized and self-directed.
• Based at Nazareth with travel to Camden and Wilmington operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and day-to-day HR support for employee relations, performance management, and planning.
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, and retention across multiple operations.
• Coach managers on employee and labor relations matters, policy interpretation, investigations, and performance improvement.
• Develop talent through succession planning, career development, and targeted learning.
• Support a strong safety culture while ensuring legal and policy compliance.
• Partner with leaders to strengthen organizational capability and business objectives.
