Reporting to the HR Director, we are seeking a motivated and collaborative HR Generalist to support our Evansville Cement Plant and specialty cement operations in Hamburg, PA and Sparta, NJ. This onsite position is based in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania and serves as a key business partner to plant leadership and employees, helping drive talent, employee engagement, workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness across multiple operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Partner with plant leadership to provide day-to-day HR support and guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, and workforce planning.
- Recruit, onboard, and support employee development initiatives that strengthen workforce capability and support business objectives.
- Coach managers on HR policies, employee concerns, investigations, performance discussions, and workplace best practices.
- Support talent management processes, including performance reviews, succession planning, employee development, and engagement initiatives.
- Help ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, safety standards, and HR programs while fostering a positive workplace culture.
What Are We Looking For
- Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships and provide HR support within a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or multi-site operating environment.
- Experience supporting a unionized workforce and working knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, grievance processes, and labor relations practices strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and employment law compliance.
- Effective communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence and support leaders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze workforce needs, and drive solutions that support business and employee success.
- Full-time onsite position based in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania.
- Combination of office and plant environments, with frequent interaction with hourly and salaried employees.
- Fast-paced industrial setting requiring flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Must be able to comply with all site safety requirements and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when visiting operational areas.
