Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to support our Engineering and Product teams in San Francisco. You will work closely with leaders on people decisions that matter as teams scale, developing exceptional talent, building stronger managers, and designing organizations to raise performance.

You’ll help build systems from 0 to 1, create development programs, and drive talent initiatives with hands-on execution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of HRBP experience partnering with engineering/product teams.
• Experience in fast-growing startups with changing needs.
• Built development or manager programs from scratch.
• Excellent judgment for complex people situations.
• Ability to coach managers, including senior leaders.
• High performance orientation and hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with Engineering and Product leaders on talent, organizational and people decisions.
• Coach managers on performance, feedback, team effectiveness, development and difficult employee situations.
• Identify what our highest-performing employees need and translate into development opportunities.
• Build development programs from 0 to 1, from problem to design, launch and iteration.
• Partner with leaders on organizational design, role clarity, succession planning and talent movement as teams scale.
• Run talent and performance processes with judgment and outcomes at the forefront.
• Spot patterns across teams and turn into clear recommendations for leaders and People team.
• Work across Recruiting, People Operations and the broader People team to solve problems end to end.
• Move quickly between strategic questions and hands-on execution.
