Job summary

Mercer is seeking a Senior Human Resources Transformation Consultant based in Philadelphia, PA or Washington, DC, in a hybrid role that requires three days in the office. You will lead HR transformation engagements, embedding AI, automation, and data-driven approaches to modernize HR functions and drive value across the employee lifecycle.

The role emphasizes client development, end-to-end delivery, and mentorship of junior consultants, with opportunities to influence Mercer’s go-to-market

Qualifications

• 8+ years external HR transformation consulting for mid-to-large organizations.
• 10+ years of program management on large multi-stream projects.
• Deep HR domain expertise across the employee lifecycle.
• Experience with AI-enabled HR transformation and digital automation.
• Hands-on experience with core HRIS platforms like Workday or SuccessFactors.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR transformation engagements embedding AI, automation and data-driven approaches.
• Develop client relationships and generate revenue through new business development.
• Deliver end-to-end engagements with on-time, on-budget delivery and quality.
• Mentor junior consultants in modern HR practices and AI adoption.
• Contribute to thought leadership, methodology, and go-to-market collateral.
