Job summary

Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) in Boston seeks a Senior HR Manager and Talent/Employee Development to lead HR operations for selected client groups and to shape a comprehensive talent development strategy aligned with MassArt’s mission.

The role oversees onboarding, employee lifecycle management, and leadership development programs, partnering with leaders to build a sustainable talent pipeline and robust well-being initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Organizational Behavior, Management, HRM, Organizational Development, or related field.
• 4–6 years' experience developing and delivering employee learning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness programs.
• Experience implementing or managing LMS and learning technology platforms.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and workforce development strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR operations support including changes, PAFs, onboarding, recruitment, and client support.
• Oversee onboarding using HRIS and ATS systems; manage hires, rehires, and contract extensions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; collaborate with payroll.
• Develop and implement talent development and leadership programs.
• Lead LMS implementation and ongoing enhancement; evaluate learning initiatives.
• Promote employee well-being initiatives and measure outcomes to improve engagement.
