Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Phoenix seeks an experienced HR Director to lead all HR and Talent Acquisition functions and partner with executive leadership. This high-impact role shapes people strategy, drives workforce planning, and oversees compliance in a regulated environment.

You will own full-cycle recruiting, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and training programs, while fostering a culture focused on engagement and retention.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• Experience leading both Human Resources and Talent Acquisition functions.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and compliance.
• Experience supporting regulated industries such as construction, engineering, or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR leader for the organization.
• Partner with executive leadership on workforce and people strategies.
• Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for both hourly and salaried employees.
• Manage employee relations and resolve workplace issues.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, performance management, and compliance programs.
• Develop and improve HR policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
• Work closely with safety teams on workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.
• Foster a positive culture focused on employee engagement and retention.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and organizational effectiveness.
