Job summary

ATF in Washington, DC seeks a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (GS-14) in HR Operations to lead policy coordination and QA across the HR lifecycle, including staffing, pay administration, and records management.

The role emphasizes developing and interpreting HR directives, providing guidance to staff, and ensuring compliance with Federal regulations. Duties will be developmental below the full performance level, with mobility obligations.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in federal HR management statutes, regulations, policies.
• Experience applying HR principles to QA and service concepts, regulations, and practices.
• Leading or advising on enterprise-wide human capital initiatives requiring coordination across multiple components.

Responsibilities

• Manage policy coordination for HRPD and interpret new/existing directives as well as those that impact the ATF community.
• Implement QA procedures and processes based on Bureau policies supporting personnel actions (recruitment, staffing, pay, performance, awards, records).
• Provide guidance on HR policies and corrective actions to HR staff.
• Support supervisors and employees with interpretation of complex HR policies requiring research.
