Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is a leading supplier of aggregates and paving services in Ohio. This senior HR leadership role partners with the Business Unit President to translate strategy into a comprehensive people agenda, covering talent, workforce planning, organizational design, employee and labor relations, and leadership development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
7+ years of progressive HR experience with business partnership.
Experience handling employee relations, investigations and labor relations strongly preferred for union operations.
Strong business acumen and ability to connect people decisions to business outcomes.
Ability to influence senior leaders and manage change in a large, multi-site organization.

Responsibilities

Serve as the senior HR partner to the Business Unit President and leadership team.
Develop and execute the HR plan across talent, succession, workforce planning, and culture.
Lead employee and labor relations matters, including investigations and terminations as needed.
Coach leaders on leadership effectiveness, performance management, and policy application.
Lead talent reviews, succession planning and organizational capability building.
Partner with HR Centers of Excellence and other HR resources to deliver integrated solutions.
