Langara College is seeking a Partner, HR Services to provide strategic HR leadership across an assigned portfolio, advising management and staff on employee relations, performance management, recruitment and classification. The role collaborates with HR teams and leadership to promote proactive employee relations and effective work processes aligned with College policies and collective agreements.

The Partner, HR Services reports to the Managing Partner, HR Services and leads initiatives on

Responsabilités

• Provides strategic and operational HR leadership and consultation to operational leaders in people management and organizational culture.
• Leads collaboration with HR team to ensure application of policies, collective agreements, terms of employments, and labour law.
• Advises on sensitive HR matters, balancing organizational goals with department needs.
• Coordinates with Classification and Compensation and Recruitment consultants to offer team-based HR advisory services.
• Supports leaders in organizational development including restructuring, planning, design, succession, and team building.
• Coaches leaders in best practices in talent management, culture, and effectiveness.
• Identifies risks related to people management, rights, labour laws, safety regulations, and College policies.
• Recommends changes to HR procedures and policies and facilitates change with stakeholders.
• Guides HR Associates on policies, procedures, and legislation in support of HR activities.
