Job summary

Harvard University Central Administration seeks an Associate Director of HR to support Campus Services. You will act as the primary HR business partner for a varied portfolio, advising on employee relations, recruitment, compensation, learning, engagement, and related HR initiatives.

You will partner with leaders to shape organizational structure, talent development, and workforce strategies, ensuring adherence to university policies and bargaining agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 8 years' relevant HR experience.
• Master's degree in related field preferred.
• HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.
• Knowledge of employee relations and performance management best practices.
• Experience with organizational design or restructuring initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients on employee relations, recruitment, compensation, learning and development strategies, engagement initiatives, and enhancements to the work environment.
• Provide expert advice and coaching to managers and employees.
• Collaborate with managers, faculty, staff, and bargaining unit representatives to understand business needs and address workplace issues.
• Partner with leadership on organizational transformations and change management.
• Lead change processes to create a culture of productivity and engagement.
• Create and deliver HR programs, learning opportunities, and initiatives for diverse audiences.
• Provide research, data analytics, and reporting to inform decisions.
• Function as a subject matter expert or project lead.
