Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is seeking an Assistant Director of Human Resources / HR Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to managers, faculty, staff, and bargaining unit representatives.

This role delivers strategic HR solutions, problem-solving, and integrated guidance reflecting the School’s operations and evolving needs. Reports to CHRO and collaborates with compensation, workforce development, and wellness teams to drive change, streamline processes, and recruit top talent

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 7 years’ relevant HR experience.
• Experience with employee relations issues.
• SHRM certification and Harvard/academic environment a plus.

Mansioni

• Provide expert guidance on a full spectrum of HR issues.
• Consult with managers on employee and labor relations, performance, retention, staffing.
• Interpret and advise on HR policies; contribute to improvements.
• Partner with managers to identify organizational issues and advise on design and development.
• Collaborate with compensation, talent development, and wellness teams.
• Lead change management to foster an inclusive culture.
• Assist in recruitment of top talent with Talent Acquisition.
• Identify process improvements to enhance HR service delivery.
• Approve HR and payroll transactions; ensure accuracy and compliance.
