Job summary

gategroup is seeking an HR Business Partner to support General Managers across two units in Florida. The role partners with operations to execute HR strategies, manage labor relations, and drive retention initiatives.

You will advise on EEO compliance, support recruitment efforts for union hourly and exempt roles, and participate in training development. This full-time position requires strong organizational skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required.
• Minimum 5 years in progressively responsible HR roles with at least 2 years in Labor and Employee Relations.
• Experience managing HR staff.
• Union environment experience highly desirable.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment law; multi-lingual skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as HR business partner to General Managers to align HR strategy with business objectives.
• Support union environment and work with union reps.
• Develop programs with operations to improve employee retention.
• Drive division-wide HR strategy, programs, and processes.
• Identify training needs with operations and provide input on content.
• Participate in recruitment for union hourly and exempt/non-exempt roles.
• Mediate employee disputes and union grievances, primarily for kitchen operations.
• Counsel/unit management on labor/employee relations, EEO, and discrimination.
• Ensure policy interpretation and lawful application of policies and COBAs.
