Job summary

City of Durham seeks an Assistant Director of HR Operations and Service Delivery to lead HRIS, service delivery, and data analytics in support of the City workforce. You will report to the Chief Human Resources Officer and guide multiple divisions through technology transitions and process improvements.

The role requires building scalable processes, stabilizing HR technology platforms, and standing up a service delivery model that provides responsive, knowledgeable HR support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, public administration, organizational development, business administration, or related field.
• Nine (9) years of HR experience in at least two related operational functions: HRIS, HR Service Delivery, or HR Data-Analytics & Reporting.
• Five (5) years of supervisory or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HRIS administration, configuration, and optimization.
• Lead HR Service Delivery and frontline operations design and standards.
• Own HR data strategy including governance, analytics, dashboards, and reporting.
• Directly supervise managers and staff, developing talent and performance.
• Collaborate with HR peers to align operations with strategy and budget.
