Job summary

Project Harmony Child Protection Center seeks an experienced HR Manager to lead HR operations and ensure compliance with laws, policies, and best practices. You will manage employee relations, investigations, payroll oversight, HRIS data integrity, audits, and leave administration in a mission-driven nonprofit setting.

You will partner with the COO and organizational leaders to ensure HR programs support growth, diversity, and high-quality services for child protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in human resources, business administration, public administration, or related field.
• Human Resources certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, etc.) preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with HR operations, compliance, and payroll.

Responsibilities

• Ensures legal compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Develops and maintains HR policies, procedures, and practices.
• Leads employee relations, workplace investigations, and disciplinary actions.
• Analyzes HR records, metrics, and workforce data for decision-making.
• Manages data integrity within the HRIS and related platforms.
• Oversees payroll operations, audits, and reconciliations.
• Oversees leave and accommodation processes (FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD, etc.).
• Supports HR audits and improves internal controls and processes.
• Collaborates with leaders to apply HR policies consistently and confidentially.
• Ensures culturally competent services for all families served.
