Job Overview

As a Senior Human Resources Manager at Komatsu's Mesa Parts Distribution Center, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing comprehensive HR strategies that align with our operational goals and corporate values. Key Job Responsibilities

Strategic Human Resource Leadership

  • Partner with executive and site leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business objectives and support expansion.
  • Conduct comprehensive organizational analyses to identify areas for structural improvement, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Leverage workforce analytics and labor market data to forecast trends, optimize productivity, and enhance employee retention programs.
  • Lead change management efforts that facilitate organizational agility and cultural transformation.

Employee Relations and Performance Management

  • Offer expert guidance on resolving employee relations matters, conducting investigations, and fostering a respectful workplace.
  • Ensure site adherence to all applicable labor laws and company policies through development and enforcement of tailored protocols.
  • Coach leaders on performance appraisal techniques that encourage continuous professional growth and accountability.
  • Administer transparent disciplinary and grievance procedures to uphold fairness and trust.

Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning

  • Design innovative recruitment strategies to attract and retain a diverse pool of qualified candidates for both hourly and salaried roles.
  • Collaborate with operational managers to align staffing plans with current and future business needs.
  • Develop robust onboarding programs that enhance new employee integration and long‑term engagement.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines, focusing on critical skill sets and career progression pathways.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Maintain up-to-date expertise in labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
  • Work jointly with Legal, Safety, and Corporate HR teams to proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality, accuracy, and security of employee records and sensitive data.
  • Prepare and support audit processes to demonstrate regulatory adherence.

Employee Engagement and Culture Development

  • Champion initiatives that build a collaborative, inclusive, and motivating workplace culture.
  • Develop and implement recognition and career advancement programs that celebrate achievements and encourage development.
  • Facilitate open communication channels and engagement activities to strengthen workforce connectivity and transparency.
  • Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging by embedding these values into daily operations and company culture.

Compensation and HR Operations

  • Partner with Compensation and Corporate HR to deliver competitive and equitable pay structures.
  • Oversee performance review and compensation adjustment processes to sustain employee motivation and fairness.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR information systems (HRIS) and efficient employee data management.
  • Track and report key HR metrics to leadership, providing actionable insights into workforce trends.

HR Leadership and Organizational Development

  • Foster a high‑performance environment by mentoring leaders and cultivating strong interdepartmental partnerships.
  • Lead HR initiatives during site startups and growth phases, ensuring scalable and sustainable workforce development.
  • Design and enhance HR programs, policies, and infrastructure to support operational efficiency and future growth.
  • Execute workforce planning initiatives that enable long‑term organizational resilience and success.
Qualifications/Requirements

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Human Resources Manager who demonstrates strong strategic thinking and operational execution skills. Exceptional communication and leadership abilities are essential to effectively partner with site leadership and cultivate a positive work culture.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required; a Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, including significant exposure to employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and compliance within a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment. Minimum of 3 years experience serving as a HRBP or HR leader.
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing HR strategies that support business goals in fast‑paced, operational settings.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence change, foster inclusive workplaces, and manage complex employee relations issues.
  • Competence in utilizing HRIS systems and workforce analytics to drive data‑informed decisions.
  • High degree of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all organizational levels.
