The City of Baltimore is seeking a Deputy Chief of Human Resources to lead HR operations within the Department of Public Works. You will supervise HR teams, coordinate Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, and compliance, and implement organizational strategies under the Chief of Human Resources.

In this senior role, you will translate policy into action, oversee workforce planning, labor relations, and HRIS, and serve as a key advisor to leadership while ensuring equitable, compliant people

Competenze

• Comprehensive knowledge of HR management principles and practices including talent acquisition, classification and compensation, employee and labor relations, payroll, benefits, leave administration, compliance, HRIS, and records management.

• Manage and coordinate daily HR operations to ensure efficient service delivery across the DPW.
• Assist in implementing HR strategies, priorities, and organizational improvements.
• Supervise assigned HR supervisors and staff, monitor performance, set priorities, and ensure accountability.
• Coordinate activities across Talent Acquisition, Classification & Compensation, Employee & Labor Relations, Payroll, HR Administration, Benefits and Leave, and HR Compliance.
• Support payroll administration, employee records, leave processes, HRIS transactions, and related functions.
