Baldor Specialty Foods, Inc. in New York, NY seeks a Senior HR Manager to act as a strategic partner across manufacturing, warehousing and logistics.

You will lead a team of six People Operations Partners, drive HR programs, investigations and risk management, and ensure policy consistency across sites. You will collaborate with Legal, Safety and senior leaders to shape workforce planning, compliance and development initiatives for a high-volume hourly workforce, including CDL driver support

Qualifications

• 8+ years of HR experience including HRBP/people operations.
• 3+ years of people management or leadership experience.
• Experience in employee relations, investigations and risk mitigation.
• Experience supporting logistics, warehousing, or fleet operations (CDL/non-CDL).
• Knowledge of DOT regs, DQF, onboarding, post-accident procedures preferred.
• Strong HR analytics and metrics interpretation.
• Knowledge of multi-state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO, wage/hour).
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Experience leading HR programs across multiple sites.
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategic HR partnership to business leaders across manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics.
• Support development and execution of HR/workforce strategies aligned with goals.
• Lead or support enterprise and site initiatives: design, planning, talent strategy, change mgmt.
• Use data and KPIs to drive engagement, performance, retention, and compliance.
• Directly manage and develop a team of six People Operations Partners across multi-shift sites.
• Set goals, priorities, and performance expectations for the team and align with HR objectives.
• Oversee workload, task management, and day-to-day HR/ER responsibilities.
• Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews and development planning.
• Ensure ER documentation, investigations, follow-ups, and action plans are completed.
• Serve as escalation point for complex or high-risk employee relations matters.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Safety and senior leaders on risk/regulatory matters.
• Coach leaders on ER practices, documentation standards, and communication.
• Support labor challenges, headcount planning, attendance, shift performance and health.
• Review turnover, engagement, leadership behavior, culture; identify risks and improvements.
• Ensure HR programs (performance, engagement surveys, recognition, safety) are executed.
• Support talent development, succession planning and leadership development for frontline to mid-level leaders.
• Drive consistency and HR practices across all sites; pursue continuous improvement.
