Young Women’s Freedom Center seeks a Director of Human Resources who will lead the HR department across Bay Area sites with travel. This senior role reports to the COO and supervises the HR Manager, shaping policy, compliance, and employee relations in line with the organization’s justice-driven mission.

The Director will manage talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training, and HR systems, ensuring an equitable, compliant workplace while coaching leaders and sustaining staff development

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field.
• Professional HR certification preferred (PHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP).
• Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws.

Responsabilités

• Lead HR department to advance mission and ensure compliant operations.
• Oversee compliance, risk management, investigations, and policy updates.
• Drive talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and retention.
• Manage benefits, leave administration, compensation, and HR systems.
