The Enoch Pratt Free Library is seeking a Deputy Director of Human Resources to provide senior leadership and oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR department. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role supervises HR staff and ensures effective delivery of HR programs aligned with strategic goals.

Qualification includes a Bachelor's degree in HR-related field, SHRM-CP or PHR, 8 years of HR experience across multiple functions, and at least 3 years in a supervisory role, with

• Bachelor's degree in HRM, Public Administration, or related field.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification required.
• 8 years of HR experience across multiple functional areas such as employee relations, labor relations, recruitment, benefits, etc.
• 3 years of direct supervisory/management experience leading HR staff.
• Experience in a unionized environment with interpretation of collective bargaining agreements.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior leadership to the HR department and supervise staff.
• Oversee day-to-day HR operations and service delivery with clear priorities and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and City policies.
• Partner with Chief People Officer to implement HR strategic plan and operational plans.
• Manage employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, learning, and performance management.
