Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a seasoned Human Resources leader to direct all HR activities at the Deridder mill. You will administer the labor contract, ensure compliance with employment laws, and lead a skilled workforce.

You will also manage safety, EEO/AAP, and public relations aspects to uphold PCA’s reputation. The role requires a Bachelor's in labor & industrial relations, 5+ years in HR and labor relations (3+ in labor contracts/arbitrations), and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in labor & industrial relations or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in Human Resources & labor relations; at least 3 years in labor relations and administering labor contracts.

Responsibilities

• Administer the collective bargaining agreement and assist in its negotiation.
• Act as chief spokesperson at grievance meetings and assist in arbitration hearings.
• Liaise with outside law firms and PCA departments on lawsuits, NLRB charges, EEO cases, or liability issues.
• Administer PCA Salary Administration program and ensure budget compliance.
• Ensure adherence to PCA HR policies and coordinate manpower budgets for hourly and salary staff.
• Direct mill security for property, equipment, and personnel.
• Oversee EEO and affirmative action compliance.
• Recruit exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Oversee salary and hourly benefits programs.
• Serve as mill liaison to the media to maintain a positive public image.
