The Virginia Tech National Security Institute (VTNSI) seeks a Senior HR Generalist to lead HR operations across recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and data management in a research-driven environment. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, NSI, and collaborating with ORI HR, you will translate program needs into effective HR actions and ensure policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field, or a bachelor’s with significant HR experience.
• Experience supporting HR functions: recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, compensation, performance, employee relations, training.

Responsabilités

• Provide embedded HR leadership across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, training, HRIS, and compliance.
• Partner with institute leadership and ORI HR to workforce planning and staffing.
• Oversee HR operations including onboarding, records management, and data integrity.
• Develop workforce data metrics to support planning and decision-making.
• Advise on policy interpretation, organizational design, and change management.
