Job summary

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking an HR professional to lead recruitment, onboarding, and visa coordination for the unit. You will coordinate searches across levels, advise search committees, and ensure branding-aligned recruitment practices.

You will also manage appointments, leave programs, labor relations guidance, HR compliance, and staff supervision, working with ISSS and campus partners to support a diverse, compliant workforce.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating recruitment and onboarding across units and levels.
• Knowledge of visa policies and processing for faculty/staff visas.
• Experience guiding leave management (FMLA/PLFA) and leave-related compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate search, hiring, and onboarding processes for roles at all levels and categories.
• Communicate with applicants, interviewers, and hiring managers to facilitate hiring and onboarding.
• Align recruitment and advertising with unit and university branding and best practices.
