Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to partner with designated business groups, aligning HR practices with business priorities and providing employee relations guidance throughout the lifecycle.

The role is based in one of our western US locations with Houston, TX as a focus; hybrid and remote work options may be available. You will build relationships with managers and employees, utilize HR data to inform decisions, and support a broad range of HR activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree with at least 7 years of progressive HR experience.
• PHR/SHRM-CP/CCP/CHRP certification preferred.
• Progressive experience with complex HR duties and projects.
• Strong knowledge of compensation, HR processes, and employment laws.
• Proficiency with MS Office and HRIS systems.
• Ability to manage workload, deadlines, and priorities.
• Familiarity with project management concepts.
• Ability to multitask and lead teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong problem solving and confidentiality judgement.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers to translate workforce priorities into HR actions.
• Coach managers on performance expectations and feedback.
• Use workforce data to inform HR recommendations.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends for retention.
• Provide employee relations support and investigations.
• Support managers in performance review processes.
• Guide on progressive discipline and employment issues.
• Assist with transfers and workforce changes.
• Collaborate with Talent, Compensation, Benefits, and HR Operations.
• Prepare ad-hoc HR reports and ensure policy compliance.
• Lead HR initiatives aligned with business priorities.
