Position Summary

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Senior HR Generalist to support a fast-paced manufacturing operation. This position will serve as a hands-on HR partner responsible for approximately 50% full-cycle recruiting, primarily supporting hourly and skilled manufacturing positions, with the remaining time focused on HR operations, employee relations, benefits administration, onboarding, HRIS management, and employee engagement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring previous on-site manufacturing HR experience, strong knowledge of UKG HRIS, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce. Bilingual proficiency is required.

This role is well suited for an HR professional who enjoys being visible on the manufacturing floor, building relationships with employees and supervisors, and balancing high-volume recruiting responsibilities with day-to-day HR operations.

Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruiting
  • Manage approximately 50% full-cycle recruiting responsibilities, with a primary focus on hourly, skilled-trades, production, warehouse, maintenance, and other blue-collar manufacturing positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers and operations leadership to understand staffing requirements and workforce priorities.
  • Manage the recruiting process from job posting and candidate sourcing through interviewing, selection, offer preparation, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain candidate pipelines to support current and anticipated manufacturing staffing needs.
  • Coordinate interviews, offers, background checks, screenings, and other pre-employment activities.
  • Monitor recruiting activity and provide updates regarding open positions, candidate pipelines, and hiring progress.
  • Support recruiting strategies designed to improve candidate quality, reduce time-to-fill, and strengthen employee retention.
HRIS & HR Administration
  • Maintain accurate employee information within UKG HRIS, ensuring strong data integrity and timely processing of employee changes.
  • Process new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, status changes, and other employee transactions.
  • Conduct routine HRIS audits and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate employee records.
  • Maintain confidential personnel documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable employment requirements.
  • Generate HR reports and workforce information as needed by HR and operational leadership.
Onboarding & Employee Orientation
  • Coordinate and facilitate new-hire onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Ensure new employees complete required employment documentation, policies, benefit enrollment information, and company training.
  • Partner with manufacturing leadership to create an organized transition from recruiting and onboarding into department-level training.
  • Follow up with new employees to identify concerns and improve the overall onboarding experience.
Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees, supervisors, and managers regarding workplace concerns, policies, procedures, and HR programs.
  • Support employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, performance issues, attendance, policy interpretation, and corrective-action processes.
  • Conduct and document employee meetings and workplace investigations as appropriate.
  • Partner with leadership to promote consistent and fair application of company policies.
  • Conduct stay interviews to identify employee concerns, engagement opportunities, and potential retention risks.
  • Coordinate and support employee recognition programs and other initiatives designed to improve morale, engagement, and retention.
  • Maintain a visible HR presence throughout the manufacturing facility and develop strong working relationships with employees at all organizational levels.
Benefits Administration
  • Support day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs.
  • Assist employees with benefit questions, enrollment, eligibility, and changes.
  • Coordinate benefit-related employee communications and documentation.
  • Support annual open enrollment and other benefit initiatives.
  • Work with HR leadership and benefit partners to resolve employee benefit issues.
Qualifications
  • Previous Human Resources experience within a manufacturing environment required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruiting, particularly for hourly, skilled-trades, production, warehouse, maintenance, or other blue-collar positions.
  • Hands-on UKG HRIS experience required.
  • Bilingual proficiency required.
  • Strong working knowledge of employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, HR policies, and general HR operations.
  • Experience maintaining HRIS data integrity and processing employee lifecycle changes.
  • Ability to effectively support both hourly employees and management within a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage recruiting and HR operational priorities simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Senior-level HR Generalist experience within manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or a similar operational environment.
  • Experience supporting employee engagement, retention, stay interview, and recognition programs.
  • Experience working directly with plant leadership, supervisors, and hourly manufacturing employees.
Compensation & Work Schedule
  • Salary: Up to $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Position is initially on-site to provide hands-on support and help strengthen HR processes and department operations.
  • Once the department and HR processes are operating effectively, the position may transition to one remote workday per week.
  • Summer 9/80 schedule, providing additional scheduling flexibility during designated months.
Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a hands-on HR professional who is equally comfortable recruiting manufacturing talent, working directly with employees on the plant floor, advising supervisors, maintaining accurate UKG data, and managing day-to-day HR responsibilities.
