Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the United States is seeking a Senior HR Data Engineer to serve as the senior technical authority in HR data engineering, leading end-to-end ETL, data migration, and integration projects.

You will design data flows, automation, and data-domain models, partnering with HR teams to ensure security-by-design while delivering high-complexity solutions. The role focuses on data architecture and process improvements across HR systems.

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL, Python, and Oracle HCM – or equivalent tools are required.
• Data-flow and integration pattern design experience is required.
• HR data-domain design experience is required.
• HR IT landscape and inter-system dependencies experience is required.
• Consultative partnering with cross-functional teams is required.

Responsibilities

• High-Complexity Design & Build — designs and builds high-complexity solutions on the projects that vary most from recurring patterns: end-to-end ETL / SQL transformation and migration (SME), advanced loading (Oracle (or equivalent) Business objects, HDL, custom templates) and automated reconciliation.
• Data-Flow & Automation Architecture — identifies the need for and define new integration and RPA / automation flow patterns; sets the architecture that Engineers build to.
• Integration Requirements Review — checks HR BPO process-tower requirements and designs intents against standards and best practices; serves as the functional review / approval for integration requirements and works alongside the towers to define systems data-flow requirements and approaches.
• HR IT Landscape & Adjacent Systems — brings deep expertise in HR processes and the HR IT landscape, its interdependencies and data-exchange methods; understands how adjacent systems consume and react to HR data, and actively supports defining the business rules by which those systems react to incoming HR data based on each system's function and purpose.
• HR Data Domain Design — designs HR master data domains — object definitions (per system-vendor definitions), field-to-object determination for custom fields, lists of values (mutually exclusive, collectively exhaustive), and naming standards and structure — ensuring data serves both operational processing effectiveness and business insight and analytics.
• Data Auditing & Automation — develops Python for data auditing to support HR Data Management (HRDM) Operations QA and migration activities; develops medium-to-complex RPA data flow patterns that pre-qualify data for further processing and loading and automate data reconciliation.
