DHL Supply Chain in the US-O region seeks an HR Data Engineer to transform HR data into trusted assets that power decisions and operations globally.

In an automation-first environment, you will design data migrations, integrations, and reporting solutions using Python, SQL, Oracle HCM, and RPA, ensuring quality and security.

This role collaborates with project teams and HR stakeholders to deliver scalable, repeatable processes that support transformations and business-as-usual activities.

The base salary range for this position is from $85,000-$152,000 USD.

Job Description

We are seeking a HR Data Engineer to play a critical role in transforming HR data into a trusted, secure, and reusable asset that powers business decisions and HR operations globally. Combining technical expertise with a strong understanding of HR processes, you will design and deliver data migration, integration, automation, and reporting solutions that enable successful system implementations and continuous operational excellence.

Working in an automation-first environment, you will leverage tools such as Python, SQL, RPA, and Oracle HCM to build scalable solutions, streamline complex data processes, and ensure the highest standards of data quality, governance, and security. You'll partner with project teams and HR stakeholders to manage end-to-end data migration activities, troubleshoot challenges, and deliver efficient, repeatable solutions that support both major transformation programs and business-as-usual operations.

Responsibilities

• Solution Design, Build, and Support — independently design, and builddesigns, builds (components), and supports/troubleshoots medium-to-high complexity data solutions (transformation, migration and operational / migration-support reporting) to best-practice standards.
• Data Conversion & Migration — develops and operates scripted automation (Python, SQL) for data conversion supporting recurring, cookbook-driven implementation projects; operate industry-standard migration tools to transform and load into target systems.
• Standards-Compliant Loading — ensures converted data complies with HR master-data standards; identifies and rejects exceptions prior to loading; troubleshoots and resolves loading errors during migrations and for live BAU solutions.
• Mass-Load Template Tailoring — tailors Oracle HCM standard 'business object' model mass-load templates — which contain all fields supported by the business object — down to targeted recurring mass-load needs, producing slimmer, easier-to-understand templates that the HR Data Management Operations team re-uses for recurring and common mass-load requests.
• RPA Flow Design & Build — designs and builds supporting components (Python scripts) formedium-to-high complexity RPA end-to-end flows that perform mass data creation and maintenance, ensuring master-data-standards compliance.
• Cleanse Planning & Tracking — plans cleanse and migration steps and timelines to project plans and migration methodology; proactively tracks progress for timeline adherence and standards compliance; manages the data-owner relationship through cleansing to completion.
• Process-First Structuring — understands HR process dependencies to sequence data migration and structure HR master data to meet process and analytical requirements.

Required Education And Experience

• Python and SQL scripting (data conversion, migration) experience, required.

• Oracle HCM (or equivalent) business-object / HDL mass-load templates and OTBI / BI Publisher experience, required.
• Medium-to-high complexity RPA design and build experience, required.
• Medium to advanced Power BI (Power Query, DAX) experience, required.
• Master-data-standards compliance, exception handling, structured error resolution experience, required.
• Data privacy and security by design experience, required.
