Job summary

OSPI is seeking a Human Resource Consultant 4 (HRC4) with an in-training path. The role is based in Olympia, WA, with potential for partial telework. Onboarding requires in-office presence; after onboarding, telework up to two days per week may be possible, depending on supervisor approval.

The position also supports smaller agencies like the Washington Charter School Commission. Compensation ranges from $76,608 to $102,996 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences, or related field.
• Five years professional HR experience in civil service rules, labor relations, classification, and training.
• Must reside in Washington state or be willing to relocate upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR consultation to agency leadership and divisions.
• Advise on classification, compensation, performance management and leave, and respond to complex HR issues.
• Develop, implement, and oversee HR policies, programs, and procedures.
• Manage organizational culture efforts to promote diversity and inclusion.
• Support selection, training, direction, and evaluation of staff; monitor performance standards.
• Assist in employee relations, investigations, and strategic HR planning.
