Job summary

State of Florida is seeking a Human Resource Consultant/HR-SES for the Central Office to manage and improve Classification & Pay operations, process position actions, and maintain accurate records. The role requires audits, data analysis, and technical guidance while supporting organizational studies.

This SES position is not a telework role and reports to the FDC office in the area served. Background screening and inclusive employment practices apply as part of the application process.

Qualifications

• Must possess five (5) Years of Human Resource Experience.
• Official transcripts may be required if selected.
• Preferred three (3) Years of Classification & Pay.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and processes changes to job positions, including new roles, transfers, and organizational updates.
• Keeps position records, descriptions, and charts accurate and up to date in People First.
• Conducts audits and research to solve classification and pay issues and support organizational studies.
• Analyzes reports and data to find trends and suggest improvements for Classification & Pay functions.
• Provides technical guidance, training, and backup support to staff, and helps maintain smooth operations when the manager is absent.
