About the Job

The Sr. HR Business Partner, Retail TX will serve as a strategic partner to Princess Polly’s retail teams, ensuring a high performing, engaged, and inclusive workforce. This role will drive employee relations strategy, oversee compliance, foster a positive workplace culture, and coach retail leaders in alignment with business objectives.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to retail leadership, providing guidance on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and team dynamics.
  • Design and implement initiatives that foster a culture of respect, trust, and accountability across all levels of the retail organization.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, providing guidance on key labor regulations (wage & hour, leaves, accommodations, etc.).
  • Oversee and execute thorough, impartial, and timely investigations into workplace concerns, recommending appropriate resolutions.
  • Partner with department leaders to design fair, consistent, and scalable performance management frameworks.
  • Provide coaching and strategic guidance on progressive discipline, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and terminations.
  • Develop feedback loops, including engagement surveys, exit interviews, and focus groups, to measure and enhance the employee experience.
  • Support change management efforts, ensuring smooth transitions during organizational shifts, expansions, or restructures.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Professional Learning & Development partners to align employee relations strategy with hiring, onboarding, and professional growth initiatives.

COMMERCIAL AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6+ years of HR experience, with 4+ years as an HRBP in multi-site, high-volume retail.
  • Strong employee relations expertise (investigations, conflict resolution, progressive discipline).
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. retail employment laws (wage & hour, FWWO, FMLA, ADA, accommodations).
  • Ability to uphold performance management through strongly defined company values.
  • Proven ability to coach and influence retail leaders to drive engagement and performance.
  • Experience in change management, DIB initiatives, and employee recognition programs.
  • Skilled in HR compliance, risk mitigation, and partnering with Legal/Finance/Operations teams.
  • Proficient in data-driven decision-making, using analytics to inform HR strategy.
  • Proficient in HR systems (Workday, ADP, or similar).
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
