Job summary
General Motors in Warren, Michigan is seeking an Automation Integration Engineer to join the HR Technology team. You will design, build, and implement intelligent plugins and automations that streamline enterprise workflows and maximize value from Agentic AI platforms with ServiceNow and Workday HCM.
The role demands hands-on integration development, strong communication across IT, HR COEs, and business stakeholders, and the ability to drive scalable solutions from discovery through deployment.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or similar areas.
- Strong collaboration and communication across IT, HR COEs, and business users.
- 6+ years of HR platform integrations experience (Workday, ServiceNow, Concur, etc.).
- 3+ years of back-end development in at least one programming language.
- Hands-on APIs and integrations technologies.
Responsibilities
- Learn HR AI and Automation platforms with hands-on delivery tasks.
- Collaborate with COEs, HR, and IT to gather and validate requirements.
- Lead implementation of automations and integrations with stakeholders.
- Conduct technical analysis with IT and Solution Architects to design integrations.
- Execute testing, documentation, and deployment of new plugins.
- Ensure security, data integrity, and compliance in integrations.
- Prepare Solution Design documents for AI agents and integrations.
- Analyze platform capabilities to propose scalable solutions.
