Waukesha County is seeking a collaborative Senior Human Resources Analyst to deliver strategic and operational HR support across departments. You will advise managers on recruitment, compensation, employee relations, classification, and development while ensuring legal and policy compliance.

The role focuses on workforce planning, program development, and effective communication, partnering with union representatives and leadership to drive continuous improvement and equity in county services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources management, labor or industrial relations, business or public administration, social sciences, or closely related field.
• Two years of professional HR experience in HR administration including employment, wage/salary administration, labor relations, training, or development, preferably in the public sector.
• Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise managers on recruitment, staffing, classification, compensation, employee relations, and performance-related matters.
• Interpret and apply County policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Support workplace investigations and labor relations matters.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state employment laws.
• Develop and communicate HR policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Facilitate training and deliver presentations to employees and leaders.
