Job summary

Waukesha County is seeking a collaborative, analytical, and service-oriented Senior Human Resources Analyst to provide strategic and operational HR support to County departments. You will advise on recruitment, classification, compensation, employee relations, and performance matters, while ensuring legal compliance and equity.

The role requires strong HR judgment, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and the capability to work with diverse stakeholders across the County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, labor or industrial relations, business or public administration, social sciences, or closely related field.
• Two years of professional HR experience in administration including employment, wage and salary, labor relations, training, or organizational development.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Advising managers on recruitment, staffing, classification, and compensation matters.
• Interpreting policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Supporting workplace investigations and labor relations resolution.
• Ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws.
• Developing and communicating HR policies, training materials, and programs.
• Facilitating training and delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
• Participating in workforce planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive HR matters.
