Job summary

County of Solano seeks a Principal Human Resources Analyst with a broad HR background, including labor relations, progressive discipline, classification, recruitment and selection, and supervision of professional staff. The role is to provide in-house HR guidance to County management and departments in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • Four (4) years of professional-level personnel experience in recruitment, selection, classification, labor relations or risk management.
  • Three (3) years in public agencies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, coordinate and supervise complex, professional-level HR work in recruitment, selection, position classification, employee relations, training, employee benefits, workers’ compensation, and/or risk management.
  • Incumbents supervise subordinate professional staff and act as in-house consultants in all HR areas to County management and departmental staff.
  • Coordinating policy direction and providing staff support to County management on HR matters.
