Job summary

Build People is representing a respected, long-standing industrial manufacturer in a confidential search for a Senior HR Manager who will lead HR for the headquarters on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

This on-site role requires 10+ years of progressive HR experience, leadership in manufacturing, and hands-on expertise with employment law, HRIS systems, and benefits programs. You will partner with senior leadership, manage talent acquisition and retention, and drive culture and compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally including a leadership role in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and hands-on employee relations experience
• Experience with HRIS systems (UKG preferred) and other HR software such as ADP or Paylocity
• Track record of building or improving HR functions
• Confident, approachable leader who can work on-site daily with shop floor and executive team
• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; PHR/SPHR/SHRM certification a plus

• Lead or support HR integration for growth projects and acquisitions

Location: Eastern Shore of Maryland (on-site, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM)

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally including a leadership role in manufacturing or industrial settings
• Strong knowledge of employment law and hands-on employee relations experience
• UKG experience preferred, and experience with ADP, Paylocity or similar systems also works
• A track record of building or improving HR functions
• Someone confident, approachable and comfortable working on-site every day with both the shop floor and the executive team
• A bachelor's degree in HR or a related field and a PHR, SPHR or SHRM certification are a plus
