Job summary

Top Stack is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee daily HR operations, support employees and leadership, and help create a positive and productive workplace onsite in Philadelphia.

You will lead full-cycle recruiting, handle employee relations, coach managers, manage benefits and payroll support, maintain HR policies, and ensure compliance with employment laws while partnering with leadership to strengthen culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Hands-on HR generalist or management role.
• Strong employee relations, recruiting and performance management.
• Knowledge of employment laws and compliance.
• Experience with benefits administration and payroll.
• Familiar with HRIS and payroll systems.

Our client, a well established family owned business, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee daily HR operations, support employees and leadership, and help create a positive and productive workplace. The position is onsite 5x a week in Philadelphia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys building relationships, managing recruitment, supporting employees, and improving HR processes while having a direct impact on the organization.

What You'll Do

• Manage day-to-day HR operations and serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers
• Lead full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
• Handle employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, conflict resolution and investigations
• Coach managers on performance management, employee development and workplace issues
• Oversee the annual performance review process and support employee engagement initiatives
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans
• Maintain and improve HR policies, procedures and internal processes
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR system information
• Review payroll for accuracy and assist with payroll-related matters
• Partner with leadership to support business goals and strengthen workplace culture

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
• Experience in a hands-on HR generalist or HR management role
• Strong employee relations, recruiting and performance management experience
• Knowledge of employment laws, HR policies and compliance requirements
• Experience with benefits administration and payroll processes
• Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems
• Ability to coach managers and build strong relationships across the organization
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Approachable, professional and comfortable handling sensitive employee matters
