Job summary

Bytoa seeks an HPC System Administrator to install, configure, and network UNIX and NT platforms, managing DNS, NFS, mail, and security to ensure interoperability.

You will need deep OS knowledge, experience with user/account management, package/configuration management, and health monitoring of IT infrastructure. Backup/recovery planning is expected; Lustre experience is highly desired. TS/SCI with polygraph required.

Qualifications

  • 10 yrs. with a B.S. in a technical discipline or 4 additional yrs. in place of B.S.
  • IAT Level II Certification required
  • Professional certifications accepted in lieu of 1 year of experience: RHCSA or higher Red Hat certification; VMware certification

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, tune, troubleshoot and administer multi-vendor servers and applications for HPC Division IT support
  • Multi-vendor servers running Red Hat or SUSE with FC SAN storage or SSDs
  • Distributed computing tools such as ReS, LSF, and SLURM
  • HPC farm systems, HPC MPP clustered systems, Front End servers of SPDs
  • IBM or HP Blade servers with FC/SAS/Network back end
  • Multi-vendor filesystems such as XFS, GPFS and Lustre
  • Pre-Factory testing, Factory testing, System integration and Acceptance testing during the purchase process of the HPS systems

Job description

We are searching for a mission-driven HPC System Administrator to support the installation, configuration, and networking of UNIX and/or NT-based platforms.You'll be responsible for enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, e-mail services, security protection mechanisms, and the interoperability of UNIX and NT based systems.
You should have a deep understanding of operating systems and experience with user account management, software package management, configuration management, and managing / verifying the health and status of IT infrastructure. You should also be familiar with development and implementing enterprise backup and recovery strategies.Lustre experience is highly desired!
Salary range:$190,000-205,000
