Job summary

Wyetech, LLC in Maryland seeks a Senior HPC Software Integration Engineer (SIE4) to lead testing, integration, and sustainment of HPC software stacks in large Linux environments. You will automate tasks with Bash/Python, optimize Slurm workloads, and collaborate with system admins, developers, and mission stakeholders to ensure high performance and reliability.

The role requires TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly and hands-on experience with Lustre/GPFS/Panasas, Salt/Ansible, and HPC benchmarking

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
Extensive Linux experience, including CLI, utilities, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on Bash and Python scripting for automation and config tasks.
Strong Slurm knowledge: workload scheduling, resource allocation, performance optimization.
Experience integrating, evaluating, configuring, and administering HPC systems and software stacks.
Troubleshooting complex HPC issues across software, OS, and hardware.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation (Salt, Ansible).
Familiarity with HPC shared/file systems (Lustre, GPFS, Panasas).
Monitoring tools (Ganglia, Nagios).
Hardware acceleration techs (GPUs, FPGAs, ASICs).
Networking interconnects (InfiniBand, Slingshot).
Open-source HPC benchmarking and performance tools.
Root-cause analysis to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

Lead testing, evaluation, integration, configuration, troubleshooting, and sustainment of HPC software stacks and infrastructure.
Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software across heterogeneous environments.
Administer and optimize Linux-based HPC systems for reliability, scalability, and performance.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Slurm environments.
Develop Bash and Python scripts to automate admin tasks and workflows.
Investigate and resolve HPC software and hardware issues using structured RCA and performance evaluation.
Implement automation with Salt, Ansible, and IaC methodologies.
Support integration and troubleshooting of HPC file systems (Lustre, GPFS, Panasas).
Evaluate system performance with Ganglia, Nagios.
Support hardware acceleration and high-speed networks (GPUs, FPGAs, ASICs; InfiniBand/Slingshot).
Execute HPC benchmarking and performance characterization tests to identify bottlenecks.
