Bolt Graphics, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled R&D Engineer to advance high-performance computing algorithms and scientific models. You will collaborate with hardware architects to translate mathematical concepts into efficient computational implementations and drive PoC features and system requirements.

The role requires an advanced degree with strong focus on algorithms and HPC, plus experience in Python or Julia and a startup mindset focused on performance and innovation.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a strong focus on algorithms and scientific computing.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth research and analysis on preexisting HPC algorithms.
• Translate advanced mathematical concepts into discrete, computationally friendly models.
• Conduct competitive analysis and report findings to leadership.
• Collaborate with the Hardware Architect to define PoC features and systems requirements.
• Provide performance estimations and benchmarking data throughout the project.
