Job summary

NorthMark Compute & Cloud (NMC²) is expanding its compute engineering team in Dallas to operate a cutting-edge HPC and AI compute fleet with GPUs and CPUs from leading NVIDIA platforms. The Senior HPC Hardware Engineer will own hardware lifecycle management, firmware baselines, and production reliability.

The role emphasizes automation, collaboration with software, networking, vendor teams, and mentoring junior engineers to drive standards and scalable, repeatable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing large-scale HPC or AI compute infrastructure in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and manage a high-performance compute fleet comprising GPU and CPU nodes across Dallas infrastructure.
• Own the full firmware and BIOS lifecycle across HPC/AI fleet — baselines, validation, rollout, and maintenance.
• Lead troubleshooting of hardware components including CPUs, GPUs, DPUs, NVSwitches, NICs, memory, PSUs, and BMCs; drive remediation.
