Job summary

Martek Global Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Facilities Management Specialist to support the DoW HPC modernization program at ERDC/DSRC, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This on-site, senior role requires hands-on troubleshooting and optimization of HVAC and data center systems to sustain continuous mission operations.

The candidate will lead maintenance, BAS support, and on-call coordination in a 24/7 HPC setting, mentoring facilities staff and collaborating with government teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance (Top Secret preferred) or ability to obtain one.
• HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, and control-system knowledge.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible HVAC/facilities experience.
• Hands-on HVAC maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Experience with BAS and HVAC controls; troubleshoot alarms and controls.
• Experience supporting HPC or DoD environments (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical support for HPC and data center infra in a 24/7 environment.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility infrastructure, including chilled-water plants, HVAC, power, and monitoring systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, airflow, temperature, humidity, and HVAC control-system issues.
• Support BAS platforms and monitor performance to improve reliability and uptime.
• Coordinate planned shutdowns, repairs, and maintenance with teams to minimize disruption.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to facilities staff as needed.
• Participate in on-call and emergency response activities as required.
