Job summary

NextSilicon is advancing HPC with adaptive algorithms and a software-defined hardware stack. We seek an experienced HPC and AI application field support engineer to join our pre-sales team to identify opportunities across the US and Canada.

The role blends deep technical work porting and benchmarking applications with customer-facing duties, travel up to 40%, and close collaboration with sales to craft compelling proposals.

Qualifications

• BS in an engineering discipline with focus on scientific computing.
• MS/PhD in a relevant specialization is a plus.
• At least 8+ years in the field, with 4+ years in the commercial sector.
• Experience with multiple computing architectures (CPUs/GPUs/FPGA).
• Proficient in MPI/OpenMP parallel programming and languages C/C++/Fortran.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and foster client contacts, identify new opportunities.
• Lead proof-of-concept, benchmarking and code porting projects.
• Gather and qualify customer requirements; discuss with product management and engineering.
• Provide market insights and guidance to sales and engineering teams.
• Assist partners in technical proposals and value propositions.
• Assess technology risks for clients and company.
• Present technology value for various use cases to customers.
• Support sales targets and KPIs; report activities and plans.
