Job summary

Wesley by the Bay in Ocean City, NJ, is seeking a Social Services Coordinator - Housing to support seniors in a apartment community managed by United Methodist Communities. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with compensation roughly $21.01–$23.63 per hour, plus benefits.

You will build relationships with residents, assess needs for health, home care and community services, and help navigate housing options while ensuring compliance with lease requirements and funding rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of experience serving older adults or people with disabilities, or in social services in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with residents and community members to assess needs, provide guidance, and connect individuals with appropriate support services.
• Maintain ongoing contact with residents who may benefit from additional assistance, including those returning from rehabilitation or hospitalization.
• Support residents and families through care transitions by helping identify appropriate housing and service options.
• Maintain resource directories, track program outcomes, and complete required compliance, funding, and regulatory reports.
• Develop and coordinate educational, wellness, recreational, and enrichment opportunities that promote resident engagement.
• Create resident communications, including newsletters and community updates, while serving as a liaison to resident committees and groups.
• Collaborate with community leadership to support resident eligibility, documentation, and compliance with lease and housing program requirements.
