Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living seeks a highly motivated Director of Development to lead expansion projects across a growing portfolio of senior housing assets in New England. You will manage feasibility, design, permitting, construction, and delivery while coordinating architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders.

The role requires 5–7 years of real estate development or construction management, with strong expertise in zoning, entitlements, and multi-project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, or Engineering.
• 5–7 years of real estate development or construction management experience.
• Experience leading ground-up or expansion projects in senior housing or multifamily sectors.
• Strong knowledge of zoning, permitting, and entitlement processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Lead expansion projects across an existing senior housing portfolio.
• Oversee all phases from feasibility to closeout.
• Coordinate third-party consultants and internal teams.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and reporting systems.
• Prepare investor presentations and status updates.
