Job summary

Healthpeak Properties is seeking a Manager of Capital Asset Management to support a nationwide portfolio of senior housing assets. You will conduct on-site inspections, prepare survey reports, and coordinate with external operators and technical consultants to drive capital planning and asset improvement.

The role requires a four-plus years track record in relevant real estate sectors, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and strong knowledge of building systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required in one of the specified fields
• At least four years of relevant experience in senior housing, multifamily, hospitality, healthcare real estate, capital management, engineering, construction, architecture, project management, or facility management.
• Experience with occupied-building inspections, survey reporting, capital planning, budget review, renovation oversight, and coordination of outsourced operators or technical consultants.
• Working familiarity with major building systems and the judgment to recognize material conditions and when specialist review is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments for senior housing acquisitions and existing assets across the U.S., evaluating structural, life-safety, and facility conditions.
• Prepare concise survey reports detailing observations, priorities, and capital exposure with supporting photos.
• Review property condition reports, engineering proposals, and maintenance records to identify gaps and follow-up actions.
• Coordinate with operators, sellers, architects, engineers, and vendors to communicate risks and budget implications to stakeholders.
• Support capital planning by identifying and prioritizing needs and contributing to multi-year capital plans and reviews.
• Oversee third-party project managers, provide guidance on budgets, schedules, and scope, and review progress and final closeout information.
