Job summary

The Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel is seeking an Operations, Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping team, coordinate daily room readiness, and ensure rooms and public areas meet brand standards. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn hotel PMS and scheduling systems.
• Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, public areas, and team member areas.
• Coordinate room readiness and ensure accurate communication with Front Desk.
• Inspect guestrooms and public areas to maintain cleanliness and standards.
• Plan daily work assignments based on arrivals, departures, and special requests.
• Collaborate with Front Office and Engineering to address discrepancies and issues.
• Supervise room/public-space inspection programs and address deficiencies.
• Monitor inventory of linens, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure teams have necessary supplies and information.
• Monitor staffing and productivity against occupancy and demand.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to housekeeping staff.
• Train new attendants and provide ongoing follow-up training.
• Communicate goals, safety, and priorities in briefings.
• Foster positive relationships and open communication within the team.
• Apply policies consistently and document performances as required.
• Participate in recognition and engagement initiatives.
• Monitor guest feedback and take corrective action to improve results.
